Caricature of Vancouver Moms
Here’s a caricature that I did recently for the group of moms that I’ve had the privilege of getting to know since becoming a mom myself. Actually, we met while we were all pregnant at an exercise class, so technically I’ve known these ladies pre-mom era. The layout is sort of loosely inspired by the “I Love Lucy” opening credits. I can just hear the theme song in my head right now… da da da bada dum dum da… The final result was printed as an 8×10 print on glossy photo paper and inserted into photo albums.
I had a lot of fun doing it, and experimenting with new techniques with Photoshop! Not to spout off about Photoshop too much, but it is a really powerful tool; there’s always something new to learn with it. This time around I tried to get more familiar with the pressure sensitivity and brush options.
