Zongzi
Today China is celebrating the DuanWu Festival – better known as the Dragon Boat Festival – it’s the first time it’s an official holiday since the inception of the PRC. One of the traditions is making zongzi – glutinous rice dumplings shaped like little pyramids due to the technique of wrapping in bamboo leaves. I recently witnessed a demonstration on how to make these delicacies. Here’s the best picture of the bunch!
